Our
Events
Here at the Eisenberg Assisted Living Residence, we offer
monthly, quarterly, and yearly events for our residents. Some functions
include:
- Brown Bag Lunch Concerts
Mechanics Hall features free musical concerts ranging from jazz
to classical. Concerts and performers change seasonally. Eisenberg
Residence provides a "bag lunch" and residents enjoy the
varied entertainment.
- Assisted Living Week and Grandparents' Day
Residents and their families are invited to celebrate with "make
your own sundaes" and musical entertainment.
- Chocolate Extravaganza
Culinary staff provides outstanding array of chocolate confections
for residents and family members. Musical entertainment, magician
and clown.
- Intergenerational
Residents participate in a reading program with Jewish Community
Center preschoolers. Local middle school students meet annually
with residents to share life experiences, returning at a later date
with poems denoting the visit. UMass/ Me,morial medical students,
speciallizing in gerontology, meet with residents in a social environment
and provide med students with education about the elderly through
discussions of their life. - Spiritual Services
Weekly Friday evening blessings and Saturday morning services are
available for Jewish residents. The Eucharistic minister provides
weekly communion and Mass is offered by a local priest.
- Trips
Residents are provided with transportation to local shopping centers
and during the fall to foliage trips to local orchards for apples,
outings for lunch, the Worcester Art Museum, Tower Hill Botanical
Gardens, bowling, a "walking" club and trips to see plays
at Foothills Theatre.
- Wellness Day
Monthly, every resident is encouraged to visit the Wellness office
and have their blood pressure and weight checked by the nursing
staff.
